Heb 11:6 WEB Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

What does God really want from us?

We are taught to believe that it is all about how much we love God. What it’s really about is how much we believe that God loves us. The more we know, believe, and declare God’s love for us; the more we will receive His love and grace to overcome the darkness that tries to overcome our lives.  When we are diligent in seeking God, it tells God that we really believe in Him.  He then rewards us.   It’s like a parent-child relationship.  The more our children appreciate what we do for them,  the more we delight in blessing them.

Dear Jesus!   You have already done exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask and yet you continue to bless us more.  May we be more like You and bless others with the blessings that You give to us.   To God be the glory Amen!    Shalom 2 U

Heb 10:38 KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Heb 11:5 WEB By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. For he has had testimony given to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing to God.

Here we see the first person that never died.  His name is Enoch, which is translated: DEDICATED.  God never wanted mankind to die.  Because of sin, death was brought into the world.

Dear Jesus!   Because of Your sacrifice, death has been defeated.  Our natural bodies may die but in You we shall live forever.  You give us hope and peace, as we wait until the day when we will be with You forevermore.  To God be the glory Amen!   Shalom 2 U

Heb 11:4 WEB By faith, Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had testimony given to him that he was righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and through it he, being dead, still speaks.

Righteousness is what we seek.  It’s what we need to enter the presence of an Almighty and Holy God.  Remember that there are 2 forms of righteousness.  Sometimes you can’t tell them apart.  You have “self righteousness “, trying to keep the Law.  This type will not allow you to enter into the presence of God.  Then there is RIGHTEOUSNESS by faith.  Here Abel was declared righteous by faith.  When we read the story of Abraham’s life, he also was declared righteous by faith.

Dear Jesus!   Your word tells us that we are declared righteous by faith in You. Philippians 3:9 asv  and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:  We are complete in You.  To God be the glory Amen!   www.Shalom2u.org

Heb 11:3 WEB By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.

Time and time again the Bible talks about words. The Gospel of John states: John 1:1niv In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Genesis 1 tells us that Creation was created by the word of God. Proverbs 18:21 asv Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

2Cor. 4:18 ASV while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Faith is all about declaring who we are in Christ Jesus.   We can’t see it in the flesh.  We have to see it in the word first. In the Spirit, then we’ll see it in the flesh.

Dear Jesus! You save us when we invite you into our hearts to be our Saviour. We declare who we are in You and then You manifest Your presence in our lives. To God be the glory Amen! Www.Shalom2u.org

Hebrews 11:1 NKJVNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I like the kjv because it uses the word “substance”. As I was meditating on this verse, I kept asking myself. What is the substance of my faith? I thought about Abraham the father of faith. What was his substance that helped him to believe? Then it hit me. The substance of his faith was whatever God spoke to him or promised him. So the substance of my faith is whatever God says.  Whatever God promises.

Dear Jesus!  Because of what you did,  we have many exceedingly great and precious promises.  2 Peter 1:4 NIV

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.   In You,  we are righteous,  a new creation.  You said it and I believe it. To God be the glory Amen!   Www.Shalom2u.org

Heb 10:9 WEB then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,

Jesus does away with the old covenant, the law & established the new covenant – grace.  It’s the Gospel of Grace not the Law.  We keep hearing about the law and about what we should do and very little about Grace and what Jesus has done for us.   But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:18|NIV)

Dear Jesus!   You did the will of the Father by Your sacrifice.  You have redeemed us.  You have made us righteous. You have sanctified us. It’s all in the New Creation,  the New Man that we are in you.  We shall walk in the Spirit and thereby not fulfill the lust of the flesh.     So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16|NIV-   In You Lord Jesus,  we are more than conquerors.  To God be the glory Amen!   Www.Shalom2u.org

Heb 9:12-15 WEB12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

We see the words “eternal ” redemption and eternal inheritance.  This is what we receive when we believe.  Many look at it that when we sin and confess it, we receive forgiveness.  That is man’s way of thinking.  For one you will never be able to confess every sin in your life.  There are sins that we commit but there are sins because we fail to do something.  James 4:17 asv To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.  And Romans  14:23 asv But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

There is no way we are going to confess all our sins.

Thank God, His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.   Jesus really came to save.  The way He does it is by faith in Him.  We come to Jesus and confess that we have sinned and need a Saviour.  We ask Him to come into our hearts and save us.  This is what He does and now it’s up to us to believe.  We have to see ourselves as a New Creation in Christ Jesus.  We don’t go on confessing the Old Man.  That’s not faith.  Faith is saying who we are in Christ Jesus.

Dear Jesus!  You saved us.  You gave us eternal redemption.  You have made us in your image and likeness.     Acts 17:28 ASV for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.  To God be the glory Amen!   WWW.SHALOM2U.ORG

Heb 8:12 WEB For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.”

The book of Hebrews is all about Jesus, our High Priest and His once for all eternal sacrifice.  When we believe what Jesus has done for us and not ourselves, God is merciful to our unrighteousness.

Dear Jesus!   Again and again we are reminded of what your sacrifice has done for us.  You came to save all who believe in You.  Because of You, we are redeemed and God is merciful to our unrighteousness.  To God be the glory Amen!   Www.Shalom2u.org

NEW COVENANT OR NEW TESTAMENT

The New Covenant or New Testament is what God promises to do for us, if we believe in Him.          We really have nothing to offer God except faith.
God’s Covenant with man is a Heavenly Exchange.      God offers us everything we need or want ( Psalm23).     Man has nothing to offer to God. All things that we have came from God.     Even faith is a gift from God.
What does God want from us, for all that He has given us.?    He wants us to know, believe and declare; what He has given us.     To really acknowledge that He is God.    When we praise other people and things more than God, we are not treating God as God.
God considers this ” Idolatry “.    This is the main cause for a lot ( not all ) of the bad thing that happens in the world.     By doing this, we leave God’s protection and care.    This opens the door for the devil to do his destructive work. Joh 10:10 NET The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
The Father sent Jesus to save not to condemn.   Joh 3:17 NET For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. Jesus name means ” Jehovah saves “.   This is what the New Testament is about.   Unfortunately it is presented more by our works, instead of our faith in Jesus to do the work in us.      This is what ” grace ” does.    By our declaring our righteousness is from Jesus by faith, the Holy Spirit then ” quicken ” what we speak by faith.
2Co 5:21 NET God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.      Joh 6:63 NET The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help!   The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.     We believe, we declare and the Holy Spirit quicken makes it come alive in our hearts to obey.   This is how Jesus lives in us by faith.
1Jn 4:9 NET By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through him.
Isn’t this ” good news ” the Gospel, the New Covenant.    By spending time with Jesus: through praise, worship and Thanksgiving and communion with Him in the word; we received the grace that saves us.      Note: the word ” save ” applies to the whole man: body, soul and spirit.    God does everything way above what we can think or reason with our natural senses.

Dear Jesus!  We are in awe of your great sacrifice to redeem us from the curse of the law and the power of the devil.    When we come to you,  help us Lord to grow in faith, so that we can trust and believe in you, who does the works in us.      To God be the glory, now and forever Amen ! GOD : MALE & FEMALE

THE FEMALE GOD : Gen 1:27 KJV So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.     HERE GOD IS SAYING THAT HE IS BOTH MALE AND FEMALE.    TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS, WE HAVE TO COMPARE HOW THE PHYSICAL FEMALE IS LIKE GOD IN THE SPIRIT.     FIRST WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT GOD IS SPIRIT AND THREE DIVINE PERSONS : FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT.      THE FATHER IS MALE. LIKE THE NATURAL MAN PRODUCES SEED, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER PRODUCES SPIRITUAL SEED. Joh 3:6 KJV That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.    JESUS IS THE ULTIMATE SEED IN THAT FROM HIM, ALL THINGS HAS ITS BEING. Joh 1:3 KJV All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.     THIS SEED IS SOWN THROUGHOUT THE WORD. Mar 4:26 KJV And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; TO BE ” BORN AGAIN ” , ONE HAS TO RECEIVE THE SEED BY FAITH. WHEN WE CONFESS THAT WE ARE A SINNER AND ASK JESUS INTO OUR HEARTS TO SAVE US, THEN JESUS COMES INTO OUR OUR LIVES TO SAVE US. PETER TELLS US : 1Pe 1:23 KJV Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.     THIS IS INCORRUPTIBLE SEED BUT IT HAS TO GROW IN ORDER TO SEE ANY CHANGE IN OUR LIVES.

AS MAN SEED NEEDS A FEMALE TO PRODUCE HUMAN LIFE; WE NEED TO COOPERATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE WILL GIVE LIFE TO THE SPIRITUAL SEED SOWN IN OUR LIVES.      WE COOPERATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN WE: KNOW, BELIEVE AND DECLARE GOD’S LIFE GIVEN WORD IN OUR LIVES..     IT IS A PROCESS THAT CAN TAKE SOME TIME.      MANY PROPHECIES DECLARED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT TOOK A LONG TIME BEFORE IT CAME TO PASS.       THE BIRTH OF JESUS WAS PROPHESIED BACK IN GENESIS BUT : Gal 4:4 KJV But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, IT TAKES FAITH AND PATIENCE TO RECEIVE AND SEE THE RESULTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT , SHE GIVES LIFE TO their SEED.      LET’S USE AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE GIVES BIRTH TO THE SEED OF GOD’S WORD SOWN INTO OUR LIVES.     WE ALL WANT THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TO BE EXHIBIT IN OUR PHYSICAL LIVES.      MANY SEEK RIGHTEOUSNESS BY TRYING TO KEEP THE LAW BY THEIR FLESH : OWN SELF EFFORTS.      THIS PRODUCES ” SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS.    WE WANT GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS. Phi 3:9 KJV And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 2Co 5:21 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.     WHEN WE RECEIVE JESUS INTO OUR HEARTS TO SAVE US, WE BECOME A NEW CREATION.     THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE QUICKEN’S ( GIVES LIFE ) TO THE WORD AND MAKES US A ” BORN AGAIN ” SPIRIT BEING, MADE INTO THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. 1Jn 4:17 KJV Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.     OUR NATURAL PHYSICAL MAN HASN’T CHANGED BUT WE ARE A NEW CREATION IN OUR SPIRIT. Gal 2:20 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.     NOW WE NEED THE SOUL AND BODY TO CONFORM TO THE IMAGE OF GOD. BY FAITH, WE DECLARE WHO WE ARE ” IN CHRIST “; NOT WHO WE ARE IN THE FLESH. 2Co 4:18 KJV While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.     BY DECLARING WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE WILL QUICKEN OUR MORTAL BODIES TO CONFORM INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST. Rom 8:11 KJV But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.    RELIGION WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO LIVE A CERTAIN WAY TO BE RIGHTEOUS.      GOD’S WORD SAYS : Rom 3:24 KJV Being justified ( made righteous ) freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  SO AS WE CONTINUE TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT, DECLARING WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS; THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE WILL QUICKEN OUR MORTAL BODIES TO CONFORM INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST.    CONFESSING WHO WE ARE IN THE NATURAL ( ONCE WE ARE BORN AGAIN ) DOESN’T CHANGE US INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST.    IT’S ONLY CONFESSING BY FAITH WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST THAT WE RECEIVE THE GRACE TO LIVE LIKE JESUS.     THE HOLY SPIRIT , SHE WILL QUICKEN US INTO HIS IMAGE. JESUS IS RIGHTEOUS, LOVE, PEACE, JOY, MEEK, SELF CONTROL, FAITH, GENTLE, LONG SUFFERING, ETC.     WHEN WE CONFESS JESUS IN US, THE HOLY SPIRIT, SHE WILL “GIVE LIFE ” TO THAT INCORRUPTIBLE SEED AND BRING FORTH THESE FRUITS INTO OUR LIVES.     IT ALL COMES FROM JESUS, THE TREE OF LIFE AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT..      TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

THE FOLLOWING IS SOME DEFINITIONS OF THE HEBREW WORD QUICKEN.
QUICKEN : H2421. BDB Definition: to live, have life, remain alive, sustain life, live prosperously, live for ever, be quickened, be alive, be restored to life or health. to live. To have life to continue in life, remain alive. to sustain life, to live on or upon. To live (prosperously)
to revive, be quickened. from sickness. To preserve alive, let live. to give life. to quicken, revive, refresh
to restore to life. to cause to grow. to restore to revive. to preserve alive, let live to quicken, revive. to restore (to health). to revive. to restore to life QUICKEN : Origin: a primitive root [compare H2331, H2421]

Strong’s Definition: A prim root (compare H2331, H2424); to live, whether literally or figuratively; causatively to revive: – keep (leave, make) alive, X certainly, give (promise) life, (let, suffer to) live, nourish up, preserve (alive), quicken, recover, repair, restore (to life), revive, (X God) save (alive, life, lives), X surely, be whole.

THE WORD ” QUICKEN ” MEANS : TO GIVE LIFE, RESTORE LIFE, MAKE COME ALIVE, REVIVE, ETC. IT ALL HAS TO DO ABOUT BRINGING LIVE INTO EXISTENCE.    TO BRING WHAT IS UNSEEN TO SEEN.    THIS IS HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LIKE A FEMALE.    A FEMALE RECEIVES THE SEED AND BRINGS FORTH LIVE. THE HOLY SPIRIT FUNCTION IS TO BRING FORTH LIFE FROM THE SPIRIT OF MAN TO THE FLESH OF MAN.   INSIDE OF EVERY ” BORN AGAIN ” BELIEVER IS A NEW CREATION : A ” BORN AGAIN. ” SPIRIT MADE INTO THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD.    WHEN WE RECEIVE GOD’S WORD FROM THE ” TREE OF LIFE “; IT IS A SEED THAT NEEDS TO BE NOURISHED.     WE NOURISHED THAT SEED BY MEDITATION ON THE WORD SO THAT WE CAN BELIEVE IT.     WHEN WE SPEAK IT IN FAITH THE SPIRIT CAN THEN QUICKEN ( BRING TO LIFE ) WHAT WAS DECLARED IN FAITH.     GOD’S  WORD  WILL MAMAFEST  WHEN WE KNOW, BELIEVE, AND DECLARE WHAT JESUS HAS DONE FOR US.   2Co 1:20 KJV For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.      LET’S LOOK AT SOME OF THE SCRIPTURES THAT TELLS US THAT THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE.

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME SCRIPTURES THAT TELLS US ABOUT THE POWER OF HOLY SPIRIT ” GIVEN LIFE “.

Rom 8:11 KJV But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

2Co 3:6 KJV Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Eph 2:1 KJV And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:5 KJV Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Col 2:13 KJV And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

1Pe 3:18 KJV For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
